My New Project: Tomocichla tuba “Rio San Jose”

I’m very happy that I was able to get 6 Tomocichla tuba “Rio San Jose” that are doing quite well in the fishroom. These little guys are the cutest fry of any Central American cichlid with their bumble bee pattern.

These guys are about 2 weeks old and around a 1/2″ long. Hopefully in a few years I’ll be able to spawn them.

These fish are ready to go from the start. Although they are in a small tank right now, it has lots of current and these little Tuba love it! They can swim all day and are super fast. It’s a lot of fun to watch them scour the tank for food.

Awesome Sam! Bringing back fish you collect, growing them up and having them around for a while will give you a great feeling of accomplishment. They will become some of your favorites, and you will not want to ever part with them because they will remind you of your trip.
